An open heart can move mountains and bring peace to oneself and this world. This embodied practice incorporates breath work, movement and sound healing. The set of postures is designed to help you live from an open and calm heart and the breath meditation helps one to release fear. This is a gentle and subtle yoga and meditation practice that is useful to calm emotions during times of intense energy and confusion.

I felt called to offer this flowing style of yoga for this spring and full moon energy. Instead of sun salutations, this flow is a moon salutation, more gentle, more yin, more restorative in nature. As you flow, please listen to your body and do only what feels right for you and modify as needed. This class is gentle and energizing. With deep stretching in pigeon pose, we allowed our hips to release any stagnant emotional energy and then we ended with bridge rolls on our back. This pose brings the effect of inversions without the strength and balance required by many other inversions. In the healing portion, we had the Archangel energy working with us. I invite you to feel the blue energy of Archangel Michael as you relax in savasana. At the end, we reaffirmed our connection to Earth, bridging our connection to the Cosmos and the Earth at our heart center, and allowing that energy to surround the entire planet. Feel your light and spread it!

In this class, we began by centering ourselves with the breath and grounding into the earth. Then we worked with one of my favorite yoga sets—Nabhi Kriya. This kriya strengthens our core and connects us to our power, strength, identity, and grit. Even a very short version of the kriya(less than 15 minutes) is incredibly effective. After this energizing power movement, we moved into a short balancing meditation, using a mudra that automatically brings stable, neutral energy to the mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional bodies. I invite you to revisit this class any time you need to energize and balance yourself. It’s also a powerful experience to do this kriya and mediation daily for 40 days.
In Pisces season, we may feel like we are being overtaken with emotions. It may feel overwhelming at times, but our emotions can give us insights into our energy and what needs to be seen. In this class, we use breath, movement, mudra, and mantra to move emotions out of our physical and emotional bodies so we can see, acknowledge, and embrace them. When we fully allow the emotions to be seen, we can process and embrace them. In the healing session at the end, we float in the cosmic ocean of love and allow them to merge with the Cosmos.

In this session, we began by grounding our energy with the Earth and connecting with our Higher Self and Soul. We moved through some warm-ups including a variation on sun salutations to get the muscles warmed up lengthened. We used breath of fire to connect with our breath capacity and then moved into the main mediation for the class: Tershula Kriya. In this meditation, we work with the trident of Shiva by creating a trident with our mudra. Using a powerful visualization and mental mantra, this meditation directly builds and moves the kundalini energy and awakens your inner healer. If you do this mediation daily, you may connect more deeply to your ability to heal yourself and others.
